tulle skirt refresh

i’ve been really trying hard to not buy anymore clothing for this winter. i want to save my pennies for house stuff, spring clothing and whatever needs/wants/savings for the future. i didn’t say “i’m not” buying anymore clothes for this season.. i said trying. i’m trying not to. everything in stores right now is looking kind of bleh to me right now so it helps encourage me to be creative with the wardrobe i already have. i have had this anthropologie tulle skirt now for almost three years and it makes me want to skip work and just eat cookies (i don’t for the record) but it makes you feel super girly and carefree. what more could you ask for in a skirt?

FullSizeRender (1)trying to refrain from clothing shopping makes getting dressed in the morning kind of like a puzzle and a treasure hunt in your own closet. it can be super easy to be overdressed when wearing a tulle skirt. i decided to casual it down a bit with a chambray shirt and this vest i’ve had for years! vests are something i rarely get rid of. they always seem to float in and out of style. and no worries this bb dakota vest is faux 🙂 no animals harmed here.  i threw on my all purpose black booties and my favorite control top nylons (seriously as durable as leggings) and i was out to meet up with the coworker day at this awesome new coffee shop off of fulton called lightfast. their tea is outstanding!

how do you like to refresh and repurpose your existing wardrobe? am i the only one into vests lately?

happy tuesday!
