i know that i am so ready for spring. i really am. i have my seed order ready, i’m drawing up my garden plans i am ready. but like i said before i’m trying to slow things down and enjoy each moment. key word: trying.
for my friend annettes birthday we headed down to saugatuck for a late afternoon coffee and camera sesson at uncommon grounds in saugatuck. the coffee and tea was hot and delicious and the environment was friendly and warm. we worked on some technique camera stuff (i’m still trying to learn how to shoot well on manual) we caught up on things drank some more tea and coffee and went for a walk downtown.
i swear it was so quiet there that evening you could hear the snowflakes drop along the side of the road. not much was open there in the winter. just (convenient) a wine shop. we walked in and talked to the owner a bit and each picked out a bottle for a special occasion. we then headed to phils for dinner and devoured some of the most delicious fish tacos ever. i know i say that all the time but here is what makes phil’s fish tacos different, this amazing lime sour creme that’s a little runnier than sour cream it’s like a lime cream sauce over fish that is so crispy it cracks and crunches in half. honestly it’s one of my favorite places to go in the winter because you can actually get a table.
after dinner i made the drive home in the falling slow. i didn’t even mind that i had to drive slow because i thought it was one of the prettier peaceful snows we’ve had in a while.
