swan song

i’m not normally one to purchase a skirt because i saw a blogger wear it. i like to find things on my own and develop my own style, find my own treasures. but when i saw Sarah Sherman Samuel from Smitten Studio wearing this skirt for her newborn pics… i clicked the link. and when it said $20!?!? i added it to my cart. and when i got a 30% off your first purchase promotion code….. i hit BUY. lol

this skirt was free shipping and almost $10. they still have it in stock too btw

normally with these odd cheapo sites the product has been really crappy and falls apart (not saying that this skirt is built to last forever) but the material is actually decent for well… $10 and the fit wasn’t terrible. i have bought things in the past that were a size large and wouldn’t even fit my 10 year old niece. this was moderately small ( the large was a little snug) but i made it work. i got a lot of compliments on it and i told a few gals the price and they couldn’t believe it either. i wore this skirt out to lunch and back to work on a 50 degree icky day in michigan so the swans were much needed to brighten things up. i think you could wear this well into summer with a lighter weight top.

have you ever shopped at some of these secret sites that are super cheap? what kind of experience have you had with the clothes? any hidden gems?
