the return of the pantsuit

the pant suit that came with me to st. martin  has made an appearance in florida. i’m telling you for $12 this little suit is earning it’s keep! it folds down to barely anything in your suit case, hang it up for a day or two to get rid of wrinkles and you have a complete outfit!

perfect while traveling with limited suitcase capacity. (i had to make room for my shopping bounty)

i wore this for a casual night out for dinner with my mom, sister and sister-in-law. it was a hot hot 85 degrees that day so the light and flowy material was perfect. clearly i don’t tan so it didn’t make my legs look super white :/

i paired this with a light scarf from my oh abigail site and a j.crew jackie cardigan. i alway like to bring a couple of these cardigans with me on vacation because they also do not take up a lot of room in the ol suitcase and allow you to interchange your outfits over the trip. i later wore this cardigan with a blue shiny skirt. two for the price of one!

i’m really not afraid to mix up my prints especially when they are subtle. i wore the leopard print scarf with my snake skin jeffrey campbell sandals. it works because you mix a larger scale print (scarf) with coordinating colors of a small scale animal print (sandals). it’s like florals and stripes, you just can’t go wrong. now, lets be clear. i’m not advocating for head to toe leopard – zebra. you have to make sure they are spaced out, paired with a solid and play nice together.

topped off with some nars lipstick, ray ban sunnies and humidity hair and i was ready for a night on the town!

Super cute! And being black, you can really pull off a lot of different looks with it! Dress it up, dress it down, lots of color…I think I need one. 🙂
