watch me go

it’s been a while since i blogged an outfit post! but i couldn’t not post this we’ll call it a summer/fall transitional look. i’m obsessed with plaid and i feel like fall especially lets me wear as many plaid patterns as humanly possible. don’t be fooled though, this shirt is not flannel it’s actually linen! that way i can still sport the plaid while we have this 80 degree fall weather. (we won’t complain though because soon enough it will be 20 degrees). i wore this outfit when i went to the farmers market with my pal annette for a morning coffee and some produce for the weekend. late summer and fall is the best time to get to the market because it feels like everything is seriously in season. it’s awesome. squash, peaches, beans, tomatoes, pumpkins…everything. i was also pretty psyched to be able to sport my latest jewelry addition, my wood watch. the natural wood just seemed perfect to pair with the linen and the earthiness of the farmers market.

i’ve seen the watches on some of my favorite bloggers and on instagram but i always thought they would feel heavy. i really can’t handle wearing heavy jewelry because it weighs you down and necklaces hurt my neck. i know so weird. but i honestly can not believe how lightweight the watch is. and i thought it matched perfectly with my sunflowers. i chose the Frankie Dark Sandalwood with the emerald face. i have this thing with emerald green lately. (probably why i painted my entire living room green)

and can i just say… these jeans. i bought them two years ago from ak rikks during one of their sales and they were my “goal” jeans. you know we all do it where we buy jeans that are a bit too tight in hopes that we get the inspiration we need to fit into them. these were those jeans (say that five times fast). jbrand has become one of my new favorite jeans. probably because all of their styles are currently super high waisted and hold in all that is unsightly and unmentionable. but not only that they are super super comfortable. i love a good skinny jean that doesn’t cut of circulation to your top half and show the world your goods when you bend over. i bought these in two colors. lucky me they finally fit!

these shoes were also an ak rikks mid summer sale purchase. they are just a basic flat tory burch sandle. i love wearing heels but i’m on the go too much. and walking the hill at the fulton farmers market  in heels is just something i can’t subject myself to. lol. i’ve worn these almost every day this summer and they are so functional and comfy and best part? they still look brand new!

i love that fall is here but i’m ready for a little bit cooler of weather. i’m ready to bust out the rest of my fall gear (sweaters, boots, scarves) you know all of the good stuff. i am so psyched to start layering my new watch with other pieces of jewelry too. i’m a stacker lol. my friend kate made the amazing gem bracelet (domestic archeology) and my initial alex and ani bracelet. i love the mix of colors and textures i think it ads a bit of interest and a bit of a feminine touch to a casual outfit. what are some of your favorite items you can’t wait to bust out for fall?
